    Fast prescription

“The process was fast and easy. They dispatched within a day. I paid for express shipping so had my order the day after that. I'd recommend giving ZipHealth a try if you don't want to wait for a Dr appt or make a trip to a clinic.”

I had a very positive experience

“In less than 48hrs from my initial telemedicine responses, I had my prescription shipped. A real state doctor reviewed and authorized. And at prices significantly lower than my Medicare.”

Generic Tamiflu FAQs

  • Oseltamivir (generic Tamiflu) is an antiviral medication that prevents and treats flu symptoms.

  • Studies have shown that Oseltamivir reduces the time you have the flu, the severity of your symptoms and the risk of complications. Most people recover from major flu symptoms within 3–7 days, but Oseltamivir can shorten this time by 1–2 days.

  • No, it’s an antiviral. It works by blocking the action of an enzyme found on the surface of the influenza virus, which helps prevent infection.

  • Like all medications, Oseltamivir can cause some mild side effects, including nausea, vomiting and headaches. Some of these side effects can also be caused by the flu.

  • Oseltamivir works best if you take it within 48 hours of developing flu symptoms. You should take one tablet, twice daily, for five days to fully clear up the infection, even if you start feeling better sooner.

If you have close contact with someone who has the flu, you should take one tablet within 48 hours of being exposed. Continue taking one tablet daily for 10 days.

  • You shouldn’t take Oseltamivir two weeks before or 48 hours after having a flu vaccine.

Children under 2 weeks old shouldn’t be given Oseltamivir to treat flu symptoms.

Speak to your doctor before taking Oseltamivir if:

    • You’re pregnant or breastfeeding
    • You have heart disease, lung disease or kidney disease
    • You have a weakened immune system
  • There is no benefit to taking Oseltamivir if you don’t have the flu or haven’t been in close contact with someone who has. Taking antiviral drugs without an infection can lead to bacteria and viruses becoming resistant.

  • You can spread the flu one day before your symptoms appear, then for a further 3–7 days afterward. Children and people with lowered immune systems may be contagious for longer.

  • Yes, you’re still contagious when you take Oseltamivir. This means you can still infect other people with the flu virus.

  • Adults and teenagers should take Oseltamivir twice a day — once in the morning and once in the evening. You can take it with or without food.

  • No, Oseltamivir can’t be taken for the common cold or any other respiratory virus infections.

  • Oseltamivir is not a substitute for a flu vaccination, which is the most effective way to reduce your risk of contracting the virus. You should not take Oseltamivir two weeks before or 48 hours after a flu vaccination, as it could make your vaccination less effective.
